About us

Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI) is a nonprofit organisation established in 2015 in the State of Kerala, India as a non-profit society. CDI works in the domains of ESG & Sustainability, Social impact consulting and Policy research. 

CDI has undertaken several research and consulting projects in the past. These include a dedicated Ecosystem report for the Government of Kerala providing a status and outline of Kerala's nascent startup ecosystem. The report released in the year 2016 was the first of it's kind where it also reviewed the impact the policy had made on the state's innovation and startup ecosystem two years since the state launched its Technology Startup policy 2014. 

CDI has also engaged over 1000+ youth in environmental awareness, sustainable praxis and localised climate action. Initiatives undertaken aligned with the global sustainable development goals through community based glocal action.
