Policy and Research Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, professional and organised individual to join our team as Policy & research Analyst. This full-time position is suitable for a fresher or someone with up to 1-3 years of experience.
The ideal candidate is expected to possess excellent writing skills, be proficient in English and have sufficient context about the development sector. As a Policy and research analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing policies and providing insights to support development and implementation of effective strategies that align with CDI's mission and objectives.
You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Government bodies, businesses, collectives, community organisations and NGOs, to conduct research and generate reports that influence policy decisions. The role requires a strong understanding of socio-economic and environmental issues, as well as an ability to synthesise complex information into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive research and analysis and contribute toward policy change interventions.
- Prepare comprehensive and compelling proposals, reports tailored to specific opportunities in the domains of Sustainability & ESG, WaSH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) & Tech-policy.
- Assist in the creation and editing of presentations, documents, and reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accurate and up-to-date content.
- Summarise information and evidence via minutes, submissions, reports, or updates.
- Participate in the conceptualisation, design, planning, development, coordination, monitoring and implementation of the CDI’s programmes, short & long term projects, and activities.
- Act as a liaison between our organisation and partner organisations, ensuring effective communication and coordination of activities.
- Facilitate and support administrative activities and record key meetings and workshops and maintain accurate records of partnership activities, agreements, and outcomes.
- Drafting, identifying and submitting proposals to potential Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donor organisations and funding agencies.
- Create concept notes, detailed programme schedules, internal guidelines & SoP (Standard Operating Procedure) documents and comprehensive event reports for ESG programs and CDI events.
- Support in documentation and stakeholder engagement of the Solidarity Enterprises & Cooperatives (SEC) incubation programme.
- Lead curation of relevant information on sustainability, ESG, and CDI event updates for the CDI Newsletter.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or any related field is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Individuals with any degree with a flair for working in the domain of sustainability or possessing relevant experience in the development sector space are also encouraged to apply.
- Freshers or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in development sector or within the domain of social impact projects
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Malayalam, written skills in malayalam are an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Adaptability, organisational and time management abilities, ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, paying close attention to details and quality of work.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Remuneration: INR 35,000 - INR 40,000 / Month
