Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI) is proud and excited to be partnering with The Platform Cooperativism Consortium (PCC) and IT for Change for organising the 10th edition of the Global PCC conference 2023, themed 'Roots of Resilience', India’s first major and international event in tech/platform cooperative policy space, being held at Trivandrum in Kerala from 30th November – 2nd December 2023.
The 'Roots of Resilience' conference is aimed at exploring the potential of platform cooperatives, digital economy, strengthening the roots of feminist futures, sustainable agriculture and climate justice in collaboration with organisations like TinkerHub Foundation, International Cooperative Alliance, SEWA Bharat and other key stakeholders and partners within the technology and cooperative ecosystem.
Taking a step ahead in the cooperativism movement, CDI aims to enable scholars and practitioners to pursue relevant research, contribute to healthy dialogue and promoting ideas toward identifying new ways of working, support enabling policy actions and contemplate on institutional changes while leveraging the technological advancements in the solidarity economy and specifically within the cooperative ecosystem.
CDI's focus will large lie in facilitating brainstorming sessions, sharing best practices and exchange of knowledge through activities like community lab discussions. Through the community lab sessions, we aim to understand the challenges faced in transitioning to platform cooperatives model, identifying solutions and enablers in the form of Policy changes, establishing digital literacy and such areas of focus for the coming future.
